Toasts and Roasts

Got something to say to EE? Wanna tell him what you REALLY think of that blue streak of his? Or of his wasting five years of his life with the likes of YOU? Yeah? Well, put it here.

I'm raising a glass of cheap red wine in a salute to our guest of honor: Evil Editor. He's given me harsh blue-line critiques, sure, but also many, many laughs. Especially at other people's harsh critiques! He's introduced me to some of my finest friends and keeps me occupied every month with interesting and intriguing reading material for the online book chat.

In short, I don't know what I did before I found EE but I'm glad I did!

Happy anniversary!

I, too, am raising a cheap glass of wine (white, though, instead red) in your honor, Sparky. Five years! Good Lord, man, you have staying power! I like that in a man.

Plus, because of you, I have a community of writer friends that is without compare in the annals of anything I've ever annal-yzed, in my life. Thank you, my good man! Thank you loads. xx

Happy Anniversary.

A toast, cheap booze only, to you 'Oh, Evil One'. May your muttonchops stay lengthy, your barbed tongue and forked teeth sharp, and your glasses erect! Congrats on 5 years or torture and evil mayhem.

I can't believe it's been five years since I submitted my first lowly query for dissection by Evil Editor. I laughed so hard tears streamed down my flaming red, embarrassed cheeks.

Here's to sharks under Zambonis, plane crashes, snake bites, jealous psycho bitches and rain pouring so hard the sidewalks scream for mercy.

If I ever have the great fortune to meet you on the street, I want to give you a big hug and pinch those mutton-chopped cheeks for luck.

EE, we wouldn't be where we are today if it weren't for you. And where are we? Unpublished. Still.

Here's to you getting what you so richly deserve. And getting it right where you richly deserve it, too.

Here's to EE- the guy who started a blog so funny it should come with a health warning, and so addicitve it should be declared a controlled substance.

It's 5 a.m., so I'm raising a cup of coffee to you, EE. Your blog has helped a lot of writers along their publishing journeys and provided a lot of laughs along the way. Even more heartening are the friendships your blog has spawned. Many online friendships have become real-life friendships. I think our lives are all a little richer for having strayed across your blog. I know mine is. Here's to you and all the work that you do, EE. You're the best. Cheers!

Happy Anniversary, EE. Five years! You're the man. When I think about how many hours I've spent reading your blog, it boggles the mind. And I've enjoyed almost every minute, even when it was my turn in the barrel. Thanks for everything. Cheers, good man!

Hey, WW - feels like the good ole' days!

Has it really been five years already? Hard to believe, but I'm glad you're still going strong, and making Miss Snark look like such a quitter. Long may your reign last. I've enjoyed every minute of it so far!

I love being part of the community, sorry I mean, I love being one of your minions! I've learnt so much from your blog, had so much fun, and met so many lovely people. Some of them face to face!

I'll raise a glass of red to you tonight (not right now as I need to drive the car!)

Happy Bloggiversary, EE, and I hope there'll be many more to come.

Wow, EE. 5 years. Seems like only yesterday your blog was 4 years 364 days old. How time flies. I thought by now you'd have outsourced the bulk of the work to India, but it's still the same funny EE. Or maybe your people in India are just that good. Either way, thanks for all you do EE. And here's to another five years of the same ensuing hilarity and evilness that you and/or Kunjal have bee providing since day one.

To EE, the most Evil Overlord the world has ever known or will ever know.

You are a remarkable man (we assume) and an amazing editor (or auto mechanic). 5 years of blue ink, many laughs and quite a few drops of blood. Awesome!

EE, your site has been eye-opening and addictive. I've learned a lot here. Love the feedback and sarcasm.
I raise a shot (or two......okay maybe 3 -- but that's all!.............maybe) of tequila to you and WOOHOO on 5 years. That's a large chunk of my life. 1/5th to be exact.

Happy fifth, old man. I think Steven Tyler said it best the other night. "There are people out there who hate you because... because you piss them off because you're so fucking good"

Whoa, whoa. I just staggered home from Vegas to find a party going on? Y'all are going to kill me.

**blows party squeaker** Happy 5th, EE! Long may you mock!

Cheers to the Evil One for hilarity, bluntness, and helping me spin straw (indecipherable literary garbage) into gold (somewhat less indecipherable but possibly still literary garbage). You've thickened my skin, sharpened my tongue, and given me hope in an incredibly trying industry.

In short (ha ha), Thanks.

You have given me many laughs, and also many cool ideas for ridiculous new stories. HAHA. Just kidding, I haven't actually written any - that would be stealing! You have also helped to shred to bits a fair few of my own queries. YAY for that! :D

Happy anniversary!!!

First, I wish you all Easter blessings and a happy Passover, whichever you celebrate.

EE is the last of a bunch writing websites that I started following a number of years ago. Of all of those blogs and websites, only one has remained active, a Polaris, a north star, casting light from the highest.

I usually only tell people what's been published when it actually appears. I'm superstitious that way. However, on EE's 5th anniversary, I will say that eleven NB and writing exercises have been incorporated or revised into short stories that are accepted and waiting for publication. This does not include five stories that have already appeared in print since Christmas. Also, I expect that the NB waiting for a continuation "Elias" will be accepted when the story is finished. It was a request.

2011 will be a very good year for me and EE's blog has been one of the most consistent supporters of that effort for more than four years. I only have many thanks. More gratidude than I can express in this comment. I owe these publications to EE for being there and for providing a reason to write better. Thanks once again, EE. Keep up the good work.

Wine is a choice between Kanga Rouge and Plata Piss: blogs are a choice between those that concentrate on their writers and those that concentrate on their readers: editors are a choice between those who promise lots and those who deliver what they promise. That's why Evil Editor's lasted: he knows how to make those choices.

EE, you and your minions have helped me hone my writing and critiquing skills--things that will last far longer than busy schedules and short attention spans. Here's to you, EE, master among bloggers!

I'm a wee bit late, which means say 24, 36, hours or so and yet I'm here. And for that I deserve everything. Yes, everything.

Cheers to EE for making it 5 years. 5. Yow, that's a long time in blogland. Cheers!

Wow. 5 years, approaching 1000 face-lifts, closing in on 1000 new beginnings, countless cartoons and movies...

Thanks for helping us become writers.

You're the only man in my life that I will allow to tear me apart.

Know why?

Because you know what you're doing and because you do it with a lot of heart and humor.

Thank you.

My only regret is that I've only been around for the last year and a half or so to plague you, EE. That, and the fact that I was so busy with the annual Pagan Reproduction Day activities that I missed the fab party. Doesn't mean I don't love/loathe you though, Your Royal Muttonchopiness.
